Iowa Common CORE - Helping Achieve Academic Success

What are the Iowa Common CORE Standards? They are a set of research based goals that provide a clear understanding of the knowledge and skills that students need for college and the work force. The standards provide a level of consistency in defining what K-12 students should know in the areas of English-Language Arts and Mathematics.

The standards mean high measures for all students.  They are built around the most effective and evidence based standards nationwide. A single set of standards helps ensure that students everywhere receive a high quality education.  The standards are designed to benefit students, teachers, and parents. The standards provide a framework for clear, realistic goals, which helps teachers develop effective lessons.  Teachers, parents, and students gain a better understanding of what is required to reach proficiency in reading and math.

Have a great Bobcat Weekend!
