The Benton Community Lady Bobcats will open tournament play on Saturday evening as they host Grinnell in a regional semi-final game starting at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Bobcats have had an oustanding regular season winning the WAMAC West Conference championship as well as the overall WAMAC title. The regional final is scheduled for Tuesday, February 19th at Iowa Valley High School starting at 7:00 p.m.
The Benton Community boys basketball team will open tournament play on Monday, February 18th and will also host the game against Union High School starting at 7:00 p.m. The district final is scheduled for Thursday, February 21st at Linn Mar High School. With a win against Union on Monday evening the Bobcats would likely face Vinton-Shellsburg on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
