Remembering on Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!  Today is a special day of remembering loved ones.  For me, it has become a tradition to attend the VH American Legion Memorial Day program and breakfast.  It is an opportunity to not only remember, but to honor the brave men and women who served our country and have passed.  One of those WWII veterans is my Father.  Dad was a member of the Garnavillo Post of the American Legion for over 60 years. It is hard to believe that he went to be with God in Heaven almost four years ago. I miss him and today want to pay a special tribute to my DAD!
