On Friday afternoon and evening, Benton Community High School hosted the Bobcat Coed Track Invitational. It was a cold and blustery evening for track and field, but it did not hamper the performances on the track and in the field events. Benton's track teams had a very successful meet with both teams finishing 2nd overall.
The meet was the final activity in the "old stadium". There have been many special moments and some tremendous athletic performances that have been held on the six lane track and the FB field. While we are grateful and respectful for the past accomplishments the District looks forward to the renovations that have already started and will pick up as we start the week ahead. The new stadium look with the turf field will support additional activity programs including soccer competition and marching band. Benton Community students will have a wonderful facility for competition and entertainment.
