Academic Letter Program at High School

This morning Benton Community High School celebrated and honored the spring academic letter winners. In order to qualify for a letter, a student must maintain a 3.25 GPA for 4 consecutive terms. The Academic Letter program at Benton Community has been in place for at least the past twenty-five years and it provides an opportunity to recognize our academic leaders at the high school. This morning a total of 172 students in grades 10-12 earned the academic letter. Leading the way was the 10th grade class with 63 award winners. There were 52 juniors and 57 seniors also recognized.

In addition to the academic award winners, Mr. Bieschke also recognized 15 students for perfect attendance through the first three terms of the school year. Finally, a special citizenship award was presented to Jesse Nelson for his efforts in greeting students, staff, and visitors to the school each morning. The HS student body provided a well deserved standing ovation to Jesse for his efforts. It was a great way to cap off an excellent program at Benton Community High School!
