The Benton Community staff transitioned back to work following the winter break on Monday with a day of professional development. The staff had the opportunity to work in K-12 curriculum based teams during the morning and the afternoon was designated to technology learning. It was a very productive and useful day for our professional staff.
Students returned to school on Tuesday and we have had an excellent transition "back to work". The weather has been outstanding which really helps support positive attitudes toward teaching and learning. I want to express my appreciation to our students and staff for their efforts in returning to school in such a positive way.
This weekend Benton Community is hosting the Jerry Eckenrod Wrestling Invitational at the MS/HS gym. This is one of the top wrestling invitationals in the State. Please consider attending and supporting the Bobcat wrestlers and coaches.
The 2nd term will conclude on Wednesday, January 11th. Classes will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. on this day for grade reporting for the staff and preparation for 3rd term classes. We look forward to 2012 providing many positive highlights at Benton Community!
