The Benton Community Robotics Team will be hosting a First Tech Challenge regional on Saturday, December 17th. The event will be held in the MS/HS gym from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. There are 17 teams enrolled in the competition including teams from Benton, Vinton, and Clear Creek-Amana.
First Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics has really grown in the past couple of years. There are currently 65 teams in Iowa and Benton is proud to be hosting a regional event. We have a very active program at Benton Community with 32 students involved this year - one of the highest participation rates in the State. There is no admission for the competition and there will be concessions available. Thanks to Mr. Sutton and the Robotics team for their efforts and talents.
