It has been an interesting couple of days outside our office on the baseball field. Recently our Board approved a proposal for installing new Musco lights on our baseball field. The district has been working directly with Jeff Rogers and Jim Freie from Musco Lighting on this project. Jeff and Jim are 1980 graduates of Benton Community High School and they have been very generous in terms of their time and donation to making this project possible. The district is very appreciative of their willingness to "give back" to their school community.
On Wednesday in the rain and cold the existing wooden poles and fixtures were removed, dissembled, and stored on the ground. On Thursday the new poles and fixtures were put together on the ground. By 10:30 a.m. this morning the new light were installed. It was a remarkable project to see through completion in such a short period of time. The Bobcat baseball team will enjoy these new lights for years to come.
