Early Dismiss and 7-12 Parent/Teacher Conferences

Classes will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20th for professional development activities at Benton Community.  In addition the 7-12 building will have 2nd Term parent-teacher conferences from 4-8 p.m.  If you have a student at the secondary level we would encourage you to attend the conferences and network with staff regarding your child's academic progress.

Also on Wednesday evening the District will provide parents an opportunity to learn more about the ALICE training that the Benton staff participated in during August.  ALiCE stands for "Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate".  The training provides strategies to employ and options to consider in dealing with an intruder/active shooter.  The meeting will also provide parents a better understanding of the training that students will receive at school.  The informational meeting for parents and patrons will be held in the MS/HS Auditorium starting at 5:30 p.m.
