Bobcat Marching Band to Perform in Thanksgiving Day Parade

The Bobcat Marching Bobcats have been selected to represent Iowa in the 2013 McDonald's Thanksgiving day parade on Thanksgiving morning in Downtown Chicago, Illinois. The band will be departing for Chicago on Monday, Nov. 25th at 10:00AM. as this trip will serve as the tour trip for the instrumental band program.
We encourage you to watch the Chicago parade on Thanksgiving morning.  I t will be televised live on WGN America.  The parade begins at 8:00AM and goes until 11:00AM.  The band went through the live feed area around 9:30AM in 2010 just to give you an idea of where in the parade they might be seen.  Over 4 million people watch the parade live on State Street and over 10 million watch nationwide.The Bobcats are the only band from Iowa!  The other 11 bands come from Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, California, Alabama, and South Dakota.As Mr. Weber has stated: "Our hope is to represent our school, incredible staff, and wonderful communities with an incredible performance on the National stage.  Please wish our students the best of luck as they prepare for one of the most exciting moments of their lives!"
