Help for Oklahoma Storm Victims

Our hearts go out to all those in Oklahoma who are dealing with the after-effects of the horrific tornadoes there this week. We Iowans have experienced this type of tragedy first-hand, as we recall the EF5 tornado that hit Parkersburg and the surrounding area just five years ago this week.

The Oklahoma State School Board Association (OSSBA) is helping provide opportunities for folks to provide assistance to the victims if they so desire. Included in the items needed are:

School supplies and backpacks
Art and gym supplies
Desks
Computers
Canned goods
Diapers and baby wipes
Clothing
Pet food
Work gloves
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Hand sanitizer
Formula
Soap
Sunscreen
Trash bags
Insect spray
Brooms
Shovels

Cash donations will also be welcomed and will all go to the storm victims. Checks may be made out to “OSSBA Tornado Relief” and sent to OSSBA at 2801 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105.

Please keep our Oklahoma friends in your thoughts. Thank you.
