Did you know that a student can lose 2.6 months in math skill retention during the summer months! You can avoid the summer slide by joining the Council of Chief State School Officer's summer math challenge. The math challenge requires a simple registration available right now. It is aimed at students who will be in the third through sixth grades in the fall. It is a six-week, email based initiative designed to help students maintain math skills acquired during the school year. Families will receive a weekly targeted instructional activity and materials along with daily personalized email suggestions and resources. The math challenge runs June 24 through August 2nd.
