Remembering Martin Luther King, Jr.


Today marks the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday. Born January 15, 1929, the civil rights activist dared to make a difference. He stood face-to-face against racial injustice.   Dr. King challenged the views of supremacy and faced indifference of many kinds. He faced insurmountable odds.  He did what he believed was right and he made a difference.

Today people of all races honor Dr. King for his legacy and the principles he inspired. How can an ordinary person make a difference? By focusing on what they believe in and doing what is necessary to make that reality come true. When things get tough, they don’t give up. They are dedicated to the cause. They live by incredible faith.

Dr. Martin Luther King was a man of perseverance. He lived by his faith. Dr. King certainly made a difference and his work has had a significant impact on today's society.
