We celebrated a very special Olympic Day at the Norway Center today. There were several scheduled events throughout the morning and afternoon and the students and staff had the opportunitity to hear from a gold medal winner. Ed Banach was an olympic champion in wrestling during the 1984 games in Los Angeles. Ed was also a three time NCCA champion at the University of Iowa wrestling for Dan Gable.
Ed had a wonderful message for the kids and provided an opportunity for each student to hold or touch his gold medal. What a neat experience and fun day!
