Benton CSD FIscal Year 2013 Budget

School district budgets must be certified annually by April 15th. The Benton CSD will consider the budget recommendation at the regular meeting of the Board on April 11th. A budget hearing is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. A hearing will also be held on amending the FY12 budget. This amendment will consider additional expenditures in construction prior to the end of the fiscal year on June 30th.

The fiscal year 2013 budget proposal would increase the overall tax rate to $12.84 per thousand of assessed valuation or an increase of approximately 15 cents per thousand. The budget includes an instructional support levy, a cash reserve asking of $1.1 million, and a budget guarantee consideration of approximately $265,ooo. The school budget is designed to support all aspects of the school organization operation.
