The Benton Community High School Chapter of the National Honor Society recognized 28 new members in an assembly at the MS/HS this afternoon. I want to congratulate these students and their parents on their selection. This is a signficant honor for these students as they are recognized for all of their valuable contributions to the school and community. In order to be eligible students must maintain at least a 3.25 GPA throughout high school and they are evaluated in the areas of character, leadership, scholarship, and service.
I was very impressed as these juniors and seniors were introduced and information shared regarding their many activities and volunteering efforts in the school community and beyond. We are truly blessed to have such great leaders in our high school! The students will be formally inducted into the NHS Chapter on March 12th at Tara Hills Country Club. Congratulations on a job well done!
