The Benton Community School Board will meet on Monday, November 21st at the MS/HS with a work session at 6 p.m. and the regular meeting at 7 p.m. This month's meeting has been moved to the Monday after the usual third Wednesday of the month meeting time due to the Iowa Association of School Boards conference being held on November 16-17.
The board will consider several action items at this meeting including approval of a phone system upgrade and electrical service upgrade at the MS/HS, VH Center, and Central Office; approval of the infrastructure project contract with Shive-Hattery for the upgrades and improvements to activity related facilities; consideration of a resolution for an early retirement incentive program; and a resolution to support the Eastern Iowa Compact initiative. The Board will also receive a report on district technology, review board policy, and discuss continuation of the instructional support levy.
