Benton Community is proud to host the WAMAC West Band Festival on Tuesday, November 14th. The purpose of the WAMAC Band Festival is to highlight the musical talents of our students in a performance atmosphere. Schools participating in the WAMAC West Festival include Benton Community, Center Point-Urbana, Clear Creek Amana, Independence, Marion, South Tama, Vinton-Shellsburg, and Williamsburg.
The festival will consist of two bands, one 9-10 grade and one 11-12 grade of approximately 20-24 students per school. Each band will practice and perform 4-5 selections. Practice for the festival will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. There will be a WAMAC West Festival performance in the MS/HS gym starting at 7:00 p.m.
The admission cost for this event is $5 for adults and $5 for students. School passes will not be recognized for this WAMAC Conference event. Thank you.
