This is to
notify you that public meetings will be conducted this fall to collect input on
the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) as Iowa’s state plan is under
development.
The Iowa Department of Education
has announced nine public input meetings statewide from September through
November. Each meeting will open with an overview of ESSA and the Department’s
goals for developing a state plan of accountability and support that drives
student achievement and makes sense for Iowa.
Stakeholder
input is critical to this process, which is why participation in these meetings
is so important.

meetings will run from 5 to 7 p.m. The
