Benton Board Modified School Calendar for 2016-17

The Benton Community Board of Education approved a minor modification for the school calendar for 2016-17 at the June regular board meeting.  Upon the recommendation of the Teacher Quality Committee and Mr. Zittergruen, the Board approved dismissing school on October 5, November 2, and December 7 at Noon instead of 1:00 p.m.  This change will allow the Benton Community professional staff to attend the Seminar Series events sponsored through GWAEA on these dates from 1:00 until 3:30 p.m.  This is an opportunity for Benton teachers and administrators to hear from three of the leading educational keynotes in the country.  Benton Community will host the event at the MS/HS on December 7th.
