Today marks the due date for school districts to certify budgets for Fiscal Year 2016. This is a very challenging process for Iowa School Districts as the State Legislature has yet to set the state supplemental aid percentage impacting per pupil funding in Iowa. As a result, the Benton Community School District has established a budget based on no increase in funding. The overall tax rate based on the approved budget is $12.8511.
