AEA 10 Superintendents Lobby at State Capitol

On Thursday, February 5th several superintendents from AEA 10 spent the morning lobbying at the State Capitol for PK-12 education.  School districts are very concerned about the current debate regarding state supplemental aid funding increases as well as the school calendar conversation that is taking place regarding the 2015-16 school year and beyond,

Below are two pictures from the experience.  I was pleased to get to spend some time visiting with Matthew Voss, a junior at Benton Community.  Matthew is serving as a Senate Page during this session of the legislature.  I also had an opportunity to spend some time visiting with Senator Kapucian in the Senate Chamber.

Please consider your role as a district stakeholder in advocating for PK-12 education!
